Reducing Our Carbon Footprint:
Biomass is known to be a significant source of renewable energy and a cost-effective carbon-savings tool throughout the globe. Bulleh Shah Packaging, being a responsible packaging solution providing company, has invested in the biomass boiler project with aim of reducing its carbon footprint to safeguard the environment that it operates in. Bulleh Shah Packaging aims to build a liable source of energy, through the operation of this boiler, for its mill and increase the capacity of its existing paper and board machines.
The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the biomass boiler project was signed between BSP and RUNH Power on 12th June 2013. Highly qualified and experienced professionals from China and Europe had been engaged in delivering the construction of this biomass boiler. The construction of the boiler began during spring of 2014. By November 2015, the first ever steam to the mill was supplied through this boiler. Further optimization and fine tuning of this boiler’s operation, capacity and performance has been carried out during January 2016.
